In The Catbird Seat
Oil Painting "Commission" commemorating the 1955 World Series which matched the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Yankees. Yankee Stadium was where the innumerable "Dodgers" hopes were often dashed, but in 1955 the Dodgers won in game 7. This oil painting features books like "In the Catbird Seat" meaning: "Sitting Pretty" like a batter with 3 balls and no strikes on him. Red Barber was a famous sportscaster identified with Major League Baseball and he often used the phrase "In The Catbird Seat." A vanity plate "Dem Bums" is also painted in the background and is considered a term of endearment.
